I'm starting again!

So I was all discouraged thinking nobody was reading my blog, but people have been asking so I am going to start it again and not stop. I have been working out a lot the past week.. at leat 5 days... my new goal is to work out at least 5-6 days a week.

Monday - Beach Bodz
Tuesday- 20 mins on elliptical and 5 on treadmill (short on time)
Wednesday- Beach Bodz and stroller walking last night


Food so far today.
I had to get blood drawn this morning so I wasn't able to eat for a while so I didn't work out yet. Then after they took my blood they told me to get some sugar in me (I probably took too much)

1 Bottle of Pepsi
2 Whole grain waffles & 1/4 cup syrup

Day 5 (doing a little better)

So I got really really upset when I stepped on the scale.  I have gained 5 lbs... this sucks b/c I have been working out 3x's a week for almost 2 months now.  The problem definitely lies in the food I eat.... additionally I need to incorporate more cardio.  We are going grocery shopping tomorrow for more fruits and veggies and to see if I can't incorporate them into my meals better.  I really am trying to do better today.  I will be going out for dinner for my anniversary tonight so it will be challenging.... I will definitely try to be better this morning.

2 tbls lite syrup

Day 4 (I'm learning...)

Just want to put it out there that I am learning to eat better.... so suggestions are very very welcome. Obviously, I am not doing very well.

Pre-workout meal
1 whole grain waffel
1 tbls. lite syrup

Day 3 (Bojangles the evil one)

Ok, so I did really really bad w/ my diet today... basically... Bojangles killed my diet. Breakfast is where I struggle the most b/c we are so often running out of the house w/ the kids and we realize that none of us has eaten... so... we end up going to get drive thru biscuits... not only can we not afford this, but it is very unhealthy for everyone. I would totally welcome any suggestions on this issue... BTW... I HATE pop-tarts.


Breakfast

1/2 small Bo-rounds

Lunch
4 oz grilled Chicken
3/4 cup Rice pilaf
2 servings of Lima Beans
1 Can of Coke

My lovely mother took me to get my hair done & the lovely hair dresser has wine & candy!
1 glass of pinot grigio
1 pack of reese's peanut butter cups

Dinner
approx. 8 oz of NY Strip Steak
1 small baked potato w/ country crock & american cheese
Green Beans
1 glass of Pinot Grigio
(ate w/ parents... as you can tell... I eat a lot w/ my folks... mostly b/c we normally eat lunches together since we work together & I hang out w/ them on the nights my hubby has class often)
1 Can of Coke


Today I was 557 Calories OVER my calorie goal & I didn't get to work out. Bo jangles alone was approx 572 calories...Additionally, I had soda 2x's... I did really really poorly today. I will try to do better w/ this.

Day 2

Ok, so I am going to be honest on this blog (0therwise it is no good).... and if I eat something bad, you can feel free to scold me and suggest healthier options. I am hoping that my eating habits will get better w/ time.

Pre-workout meal
2 whole grain waffles
approx. 2 tbl. spoons of light syrup

including: squat thrust, some push-ups, crunches, jumping jacks, jumping rope

Chicken, egg & cheese bagel from Chic-fil-a (I love these)
I was late for work and starving! (I know.. no excuses)

6 0z grilled sirloin ----I got to each lunch on my bosses tab.. yeah baby!

1/3 of a small Almond Joy Coffee (I never drink stuff like this, but it was there, but I stopped drinking it b/c it gave me a headache.

Afternoon Snack
I finished my garlic mashed potatoes from lunch

Dinner
1 Large Hard Pretzel
Approx 4 oz of Ham
2 Cups of Kraft Shells & Cheese (pasta is another downfall of mine)
This alone turned out to be 660 calories.... ouch... I didn't quite realize exactly how bad they were for you.
1 Serving of Sweet Peas
1 Glass of Pinot Grigio
Approx 1024 Calories


According to www.thedailyplate.com I ate 162 calories more than I should've today.

My Goals

Lose 2 pants sizes by Oct 11th
I have to lose weight by Oct 11th b/c I have to go on a trip for my MBA to Vienna, Budapest, and Prague (I know it is expensive, but it is a requirement for the international business concentration, and my student loans are paying the bill for now)....I am really looking forward to the trip, but I am paranoid that they are going to charge me for 2 seats b/c I am so pleasantly plump.


Size 14 or smaller by August 28, 2009
My long term weight loss goal is to be down to at least a size 14 by August 28, 2009 for my 5th year anniversary. I am currently a size 24.

Day 1

First of all, let me start off by saying, in general I am not a fan of blogging, but I think that this will help me be accountable for what I am doing (or not doing) with my body and what I am putting in it.

After having kids and a desk job, I have totally let myself go. I currently weigh a whopping 279 lbs.... this is the largest I have EVER been except for towards the end of my pregnancy.

So far, I have been working out at Beach Bodz here in Myrtle Beach. I must say that it is helping me so much. I feel stronger & I have noticed that I am leaner in certain areas. I have only been doing Beach Bodz for a little over a month. I plan on continuing to attend their bootcamps. Here on my blog I will journal each day about the exercise I do and what I eat. Please feel free to comment and help me on my journey. Truthfully, I really don't know how to eat well so advice is more than welcome.

My diet today has been really bad. But I feel I should go ahead and post it to be truthful.

Breakfast

1/4 cup syrup
1 Pepsi Can

Snack
1/4 cup Sunflower Seeds

Lunch
I went to Prosser's BBQ Buffet
Collard Greens
Green Beans
Lima Beans
Mac & Cheese

**** I got a little of everything listed above... I don't know how much though. I had enough food to eat 1 & 1/2 plates of food..... too much... I know... I LOVE Prossers... maybe you guys could give me ideas of how to eat some of this food in moderation (how often can I eat this??? if ever??)*********

1/2 can of campbells bean w/ bacon soup
2 grilled cheese sandwiches (one w/ turkey)
