First of all, let me start off by saying, in general I am not a fan of blogging, but I think that this will help me be accountable for what I am doing (or not doing) with my body and what I am putting in it.
After having kids and a desk job, I have totally let myself go. I currently weigh a whopping 279 lbs.... this is the largest I have EVER been except for towards the end of my pregnancy.
So far, I have been working out at Beach Bodz here in Myrtle Beach. I must say that it is helping me so much. I feel stronger & I have noticed that I am leaner in certain areas. I have only been doing Beach Bodz for a little over a month. I plan on continuing to attend their bootcamps. Here on my blog I will journal each day about the exercise I do and what I eat. Please feel free to comment and help me on my journey. Truthfully, I really don't know how to eat well so advice is more than welcome.
My diet today has been really bad. But I feel I should go ahead and post it to be truthful.
Breakfast
2 Whole Grain Waffels
1/4 cup syrup
1 Pepsi Can

1/4 cup Sunflower Seeds

**** I got a little of everything listed above... I don't know how much though. I had enough food to eat 1 & 1/2 plates of food..... too much... I know... I LOVE Prossers... maybe you guys could give me ideas of how to eat some of this food in moderation (how often can I eat this??? if ever??)*********
Dinner
1/2 can of campbells bean w/ bacon soup
2 grilled cheese sandwiches (one w/ turkey)
Lots of Sprite
Workout: NONE (I didn't feel well)

Tiffany! I am so proud of you for blogging your weight loss journey! You can do it!!! If you ever want to walk, let me know. We live close to each other.
I'm proud of you for starting this blog! I highly reccomend (to anyone really) to start a food journal when you are first starting this journey. Sometimes knowing you have to write it down will deter you from eating something you shouldnt'. Also, it will teach you to learn your portion sizes, which we as a society have gone waaaay overboard on! To help with your portion sizes , start eating your meals on salad plates. You may find that once you are done eating what's on your plate, that you are full...where as if you had a bigger plate, you will keep eating until it's gone. I'll keep checking in on you mama! keep it up!
Hey Tiff, I'm really glad your'e doing this...and I hope the blogging will help with accountability....
First off, if you can replace sodas with fruit or water..... that would be a good step.
Also, watch out for those bbq/homestyle cooking country buffets/resturants. When you order green beens or any of the sides, they may not be healthy as you think.... for instance, they may cook the green beans in butter or greese, which will do hazard on your system. So, you may think, "oh good, I'm going to be healthy and order green beans".
Thanks for thinking of us to help you!! You are going to make it!! And I'm so excited for you. just keep it up. Alison
Dining out once in a while is okay but not too often because you can not completely control what they put in their food. You can make requests at most places but not at a buffet. If you do go out stay away from the mac and cheese, soft drinks, and like someone else said pay attention to what the veggies are cooked in. Its pretty easy to tell when something is cooked in fat. Try to look up nutritional information before you go out if possible. www.calorieking.com is a great site.
